Pastor-Larry D. Johnson is a ministerial and business visionary, a consummate leader, unselfish goodhearted person, and a spiritual shepherd to everyone he comes into contact with Pastor Johnson is the senior pastor of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bald Knob/Searcy, Ar.
Serving for over 35 years in this capacity; his motivating messages have reached the world through his media and traveling ministries. Named by his congregation “A Man after God’s own Heart,” Rev. J’s message of healing and restoration is beyond comparison. His funny, witty approach to biblical exposition reaches people where they are.
While being led by the Holy Spirit, Rev. J. is anxious to fellowship and witness to any and everyone. His message crosses educational and denominational barriers within the church and beyond. He has established himself and Pleasant Grove as a leader in presenting religious conferences relating to every area of a persons’ life that truly speak to the heart of people. His conferences have been described as “life-changing”. Examples of these are Marriage conferences, Single conferences, Men’s conferences, Financial conferences, Pastor and Leadership conferences etc. Pastor J’s biblically-grounded knowledge allows him to administer sage advice to believers and non-believers.
His hometown is in Jacksonville, Ar. Pastor Johnson is a graduate of North Little Rock Senior high school. A Graduate of Boyce Theological Seminary which is a division of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Johnson holds a BA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Pastor J is married to his best friend and partner in Marriage and ministry the former Patricia “Lady J” Kelly Johnson. Together they have four children and five grandchildren. Pastor Johnson enjoys traveling, reading, fishing, playing games and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
